Lotta Ring (1915-1965) was a designer for the Friends of Finnish Handicrafts from 1948 to 1952.
She graduated as a cottage industry teacher in 1941, after which she taught for a few years and worked briefly in Tampella. During the war, Ring participated in the collection of Karelian handicraft models in East Karelia. She studied at the Central School of Applied Arts from 1946 and graduated as a textile artist in 1949.
He was recruited to the Friends of Finnish Handicrafts for a half-time job at the end of his studies.
Lotta Ring designed upholstery fabrics, carpets, rugs and quilts for the Friends of Finnish Handicrafts. Her rya rugs were included in touring exhibitions organised by the Finnish Association of the Arts and Crafts in European capitals.
