Ruut Joensuu

I am a designer from Helsinki. I believe the biggest inspiration comes from the life well lived and how the world around is perceived. I often try to challenge myself to notice even the smallest details around me.

Colors inspire me greatly as well, and they often concretely bring joy to my own daily life.

The inspiration for my Blizzard-pattern comes from a happy coincidence. The print itself is quite versatile so I can easily see it in multiple things. It is made to be approachable and down-to-earth, yet without compromising its beauty.

I feel like sustainability and responsibility in design should no longer be just a personal choice of value, but rather in principle be a part of the whole design process, as self-evident. And that is one more reason why I enjoy this collaboration with Annala!
