"I think nature is the greatest artist and I want to honor that abundant beauty with my designs that derive their detailed complexity from the organic flow of natural elements.

Talvilintuset: Visiting our grandma’s house in Northern Finland is always like stepping into a bird concert. “Winter Birdies/Talvilintuset” was inspired by the countless bird species that enrich the countryside landscape with their cheerful chirps.

Kettu ja Kauris: I’ve always been admiring the innocent beauty of gracious deer and especially the effortless cuteness of fawns. Foxes are cunning creatures but they’re also majestic in their own, distant way. ”Kettu ja Kauris/Deer and Fox” print got its inspiration from this contrast between nature’s innocence and deviousness.

I could see my designs accenting a furniture fabric, a cozy throw blanket or a decorative pillow in any space where a tasteful hint of nature’s magic and elegance is desired. I’m so happy to be collaborating with Annala on this project. I deeply appreciate their local fabric production, transparency, and commitment to sustainability."
